What to do when it's cold

It's been so cold lately that we've been spending a lot of time indoors.

I love watching the Food Network, and have been creating some interesting meals. I finally received "Becoming Jane" from the library, and we watched that over the weekend.

I've been re-reading my curriculum books, and coming up with ideas for this fall. We will do some lessons over the summer, mainly math drills, a literature-based horse unit, and reading.

Lots of reading.

I filled up the book basket with a good selection culled from my own shelves.

Yesterday I read Jane Eyre; Freckles; Betsy-Tacy; Betsy-Tacy and Tib; Sarah, Plain and Tall; Five Little Peppers; and A Little Princess.

I read fast.

Today I'm attempting The Hundred Penny Box; Pippi Longstocking; A Year Down Yonder; Pollyanna; Bunnicula; Bridge to Terabithia; and Betsy and Tacy Go Over the Big Hill.

  3. How was "Becoming Jane"?

And we've been cold here too! It was cold in ATL before we left. Green Bay is apparently having record lows today. I thought Gore said we were having global warming. I can't believe he lied!

  4. Did you like Becoming Jane? If you did, you might like the Cranford series too? Have you seen it yet?
